The Scottish Progressive GSD Group held its first ever Event in
Scotland under WUSV/SV rules on the 7th of August 2010 – this was
GSD history in the making and Scotland is proud to have been at the
forefront of a new and exciting future for the GSD Breed in the UK.
This is an exciting time in the Breed with a lot of new things happening.
We hope we can assure you there is nothing to be frightened off with some of these changes,
we all want what is best for our dogs and this new system embraces that concept by ensuring
compliance with health tests for hips and elbows coupled with the participating in working with your dog.
However, if this is not for you, the current UK Breed Survey’s form of assessment hopefully will encourage more participation in the Adult Classes at future Events.
We were privileged this year to have had Cristoph Ludwig (SV) from the very well known and highly respected Kennel Zenteiche in Germany judging at this historic Event. I am sure Cristoph and his kennel needs no introduction, being the breeder and owner of some of the most successful GSD’s in our Breed’s history.
We are grateful to all our supporters, sponsors and willing helpers, without whom this Event and indeed this Group would not have been possible.
We admire and applaud their true dedication and commitment to this exciting new road.
The Group also wish all Members and supporters every success with their dogs in the future.
